Our school

Professional Learning

At Stalham High, we greatly value the professional development of our staff.

We provide a combination of internal CPD sessions and training; the opportunity for colleagues to study NPQ courses; a comprehensive ECT support package - including collaborations across the Synergy Trust, and capacity for new entrants to the teaching profession to gain QTS whilst working with us and our partners at the Julian Teaching School Hub and the UEA.

NPQ Training

National Professional Qualifications (NPQs) are voluntary, DfE-accredited training courses for teachers and school leaders in England, designed to develop expertise in specialist and leadership roles. Ranging from 12 to 22 months, they provide flexible, evidence-based professional development, including specialist areas like behaviour, literacy, and teacher development, as well as senior leadership and headship.

Help inspire the next generation of teachers

Do you know someone who would make a fantastic teacher?

We're asking all Norfolk schools to help spread the word about Teach in the East- a free online event designed to help graduates, career changers, teaching assistants and anyone considering a rewarding career in education explore their route into teaching.

Hosted by the Julian Teaching School Hub, each event brings together up to eight teacher training providers from across the East of England, giving prospective teachers the opportunity to compare routes into teaching, ask questions and find the course that's right for them.

There are four opportunities to attend throughout the academic year, making it easy for people to join at a time that suits them:

  • 29 September (4.30-6.00pm)
  • 30 September (5.30-7.00pm)
  • 7 December (5.30-7.00pm)
  • 9 March (5.30-7.00pm)

Booking is quick and easy- simply scan the QR code on the flyer to register.
