“Careers” is defined at anything students need to know, understand and be able to do to make their best next step.

Careers education, advice and guidance is an important part of what we do at Stalham High School because we want students to be ambitious for their futures, empowered to make the right choices for themselves, and take responsibility for their personal career journey.

Careers Entitlement

All students are entitled to, and will receive, impartial and independent careers education advice and guidance which will prepare them to make their next best step. We operate an inclusive approach that is centred around the student and their needs and promotes equality and diversity.

As a result of developed career knowledge, we want students to:

Explore different ideas, pathways and opportunities so that they are prepared to make choices for their options that will influence their future lives
Be ambitious for their futures, raise aspirations and prevent disengagement from the learning process
Learn about themselves and develop essential employability skills
Raise their confidence and self-esteem and begin to form strong links for their futures.

Help You Choose is an information, application and guidance platform for 13 – 19 year olds in Norfolk. On our website you can find information about courses, jobs, apprenticeships and training opportunities. If you are in Year 11 you can apply for sixth form or college online.
